Alien Invasion?
Apr. 12th, 2005 07:38 pmMy parents have clearly been abducted by aliens.
I sat down with my father last night and not only did he not freak out or lecture me...he was supportive and seemed to have every faith in my abilities to make it work.
Then, *cue Twilight Zone music* this morning when I gave my mother the news, she proceeded to offer to landscape the yard for me. Then she was offering to come out and get the kids several times a week.
It was at this point that I went "Did you miss the whole 'we-are-moving-to-regain-control-of-our-lives-and-have-some-peace' reasoning behind the move about 2 months earlier than we'd planned???"
Anyhow...I'm not going to complain. Because I truly expected the shit to hit the fan. I've been back with them for 5 months and that's been quite enough.
I'm truly petrified. I have *never* lived on my own. Ever. I have always had roomates. Furthermore, I don't cook. So I get to learn how to do that. It's all a little daunting. However, my bathroom is SO cool, I'm sure I'll get over it with a few baths with candles. :)
