I got an email at 3:32 pm yesterday afternoon. It was from a temp agency I had registered with a few weeks ago. I'd answered several of these emails but always got the response "We filled it already".

So I saw these two jobs. One was $8.00 an hour and 8:30 - 4:30 Monday - Friday. They required 10,000+ keystrokes an hour. The other was 7am - 7pm, 7 days a week at $9.00 an hour. It required 8,000-10,000 keystrokes per hour. I took a little online test, not expecting to do very well as I don't have any *real* experience with data entry. I type fast, but the numeric keypad isn't as strong as the keyboard itself goes.

By the time I finished their test, the manager was about to leave and asked me to call her on her cell phone. I had pulled off almost 14,000 keystrokes per hour. She wanted me to come to the office at 7:30 this morning to fill out paperwork. So I did. She REALLY wanted me to take the one for 8 an hour. Problem is, it's in the direction of rush hour traffic. It's only 40 hours a week and it's a dollar less an hour. But I'd have to leave at the same time to get either place due to traffic patterns.

So I requested the one in the other direction. 9 an hour w/ overtime pay for 40+. It's 84 hours a week.

At least I'll be able to stow something away while I wait on waivers and shit from the Army.

I was sent directly to the job after the interview with Christy. It's working for the State Farm Catastrophe Team. It was interesting and somewhat surreal.

I'll be pretty much MIA till further notice, though.
