Okay. Shit. This looks bad. Real bad. The current NCEP model and forecast track and latest satellite loop are putting us nearer and nearer the eastern side of this storm. Bad fucking place to be.

This hurricane season is not only breaking records but it's breaking people. Not only in the form of injury and death, but financially and emotionally. Everyone is bickering and uptight (including me) and everything is going to hell in a handbasket 'round here.
PREPARATIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY SHOULD BE RUSHED TO
COMPLETION.

I think it's bad when you start memorizing these phrases.

Baton Rouge is under an "Inland Tropical Storm Warning". We're watching.

Also, people from Houston headed this way. So we have folks from New Orleans and now folks from the West and we didn't have room for the first run as it was.

*grips head*

Phones are spotty again. Traffic is horrendous. Rain has begun. I couldn't get to Keith and Kate's to get my book. I tried. Spent 3 hours in traffic. Gave up.

Are we there yet?
