I made it. I have survived.

After work, me and C2 went out for coffee. As I was out of smokes and hers were at work, we wandered over to Wal Mart. We were still there when we mentioned something about the "Old Fogey's Aisle"....and I said "Wait...I belong there now..officially". It was 12:08. She said what better place to be at the start of one's birthday and told me to pick out my present. It's the neatest little bar of soap with a coushy sponge right in the center of it. It smells good, too. Which is good since she has to sit near me on a regular basis.

Logan and C1 gave me a present yesterday. It was an extremely thoughtful gift. All of Carnivale Season 2 burned for me and a beautiful necklace that was made by a SAHM. And a flower hand picked by C1.

I got a midnight serenade voicemail on my cell phone.

And I get to look forward to a week with my 3 beautiful children in one of the most magical places on earth. Disney. I can't wait. I'm so excited.

At 8pm I got an early birthday present when one of my oldest friends, Marc, called to tell me that he and his wife Sara are the proud owners of one Emma Grace Bieker. 6lbs 15oz. YAY! Mom and baby are both healthy and I will drop in on them tomorrow before work.

What I am most thankful for on this big Three Oh is this...

Insert major sappiness here... )

Now, I've gotten all sorts of sappy and long-winded and it's horribly late. I just wanted to say, in simple terms, thank you. You all make it worth the good, the bad and the horribly twisted. Every last one of you has enriched my life in ways you may not have realized. I thank you for that.

Now, I'm going to go crawl my 30 year old ass into bed and get some sleep. I need to conserve my energy for Easter Egg hunts and a 6 foot rat named Mickey who is sure to keep me young.
